Hair Color Predicts Hair Thickness ?

Think that your hair is thinning more than your friends? You may be right – but it might have more to do with your hair color than your age! The average head of hair consists of about 100,000 follicles. Blondes tend to be at the top of the density/thickness list with an above average 146,000 follicles. Black hair – 110,000, Brown – 100,000, and at the below average bottom of the list are Redheads with only about 86,000 follicles. As the hair naturally thins with age, these differences tend to become more and more magnified. Sorry, dyeing the hair doesn’t change this!
