A heavy, wrinkled look to the forehead can create a tired, aged appearance. The eyebrows can also look low, making the eyes themselves appear fatigued and sleepy. Most patients will obtain tremendous improvement for these issues with Botox^® and other neurotoxins (individual results may vary). A surgical lifting of the brow may be needed for more advanced cases and for those less responsive to nonsurgical methods.

Brow Lift Procedure

In most situations, the endoscopic style brow lift is preferred to the now nearly antiquated open technique. An endoscopic brow lift requires only tiny access incisions hidden in the scalp. While under general anesthesia, the brow can then be lifted and repositioned in a higher, tighter position using special instruments and a special camera. A brow lift usually takes 1-2 hours and is often combined with other procedures like a facelift or eyelid lift.

Brow Lift Recovery

The forehead and upper face may be mildly swollen and bruised for a week or so. A special band we provide helps support the lifted brow and minimizes swelling. Mild restrictions are recommended and pain pills and antibiotics will be prescribed. The small sutures hidden in the tiny scalp incisions are usually removed in a week.
